Who can play him? Not Andre 3000 please.

Well, he already played Jimi Hendrix. We don't need Andfe being Leon, who played David Ruffin and Little Richard (and JT Matthews, lol.)

Also no mention on Lenny Kravitz? He does acting now.

Not Lenny, he's too buff to play Prince.

What about Jaden Smith?

No....just no and never. Jaden cannot act to save his life and he should not be in a biopic of anyone much less Prince. What about Kid Cudi or Anthony Mackie?

Anthony Mackie . . did you see the way he played Tupac?

No thank you

Despite what I said above, I don't think I'd want to see a Prince biopic. The documentary idea, on the other hand... a lot of diehards might say been there, done that, but for future generations and casual fans it would be something. Spike Lee does documentaries, Spike loved Prince, Spike could use a project that will garner him critical and audience favour because his forte seems to be alienating people with polemics (I like Spike, have taught two of his films). In the wake of Prince's passing, if he ever wanted to bring people to identify with the black experience, he has a great subject to work with and I could see the estate giving him permission.

"Notorious" was good but not oscar worthy and definitely just thrown together.

If Anthony cannot be prince, then it has to be a complete unknown. Hollywood does not have that many light skinned well known actors who actually favor Prince. Plus with Prince, you have to at least be able to mimic the voice. Have you seen the clip that was released like last week for all eyez on me(2pac biopic)? The actor looks like pac but sounds nothing like him.

A prince biopic would be good after sometime has passed and someone passionate about the project comes along and makes it happen but right now. The loss is still fresh. You have the family dealing with no will and the fallout of that and this mess could play out in probate for years. Nobody is sure of who owns the rights to Prince's music and that would be crucial to a biopic like this. Hollywood would more than likely whitewash a Prince biopic by having someone like Channing Tatum or Joseph Gordon Levitt play him. If they got a puerto rican playing Nina Simone, they will let Channing's pasty country ass play Prince. Plus if a biopic of this magnititude were to happen, the supporting players of Prince's story would all have to be played by unknown actors. There is almost no one in hollywood who looks like members of the NPG or the revolution without a lot of makeup or contouring. A prince biopic would not make it past the censors if the story is told as the fans see it. We are talking about a man who appeared on stage in his underwear and has a song called "head", it wouldnt even get a PG-13 rating. I could see a miniseries on HBO or even a documentary once sometime has passed but never a biopic.
