How did prince view his fanbase at the end?

I'd base it on that photo where he is showing off his new guitar at Paisley. He def loved the love you all gve him. Even if he once defined fans as fantical and didn't always give you what you wanted, he brought his fans closer than many artists. Tavis Smiley put it very well saying to prince that he doesn't just have lovers of music in his audience but sophisticated audiences. Prince knew everyone would have fun but the deeper appreciation to what he was doing on stage was key to him and he always felt that thats why he could give so much through his music. He didn't crave or need to do anything to try and appeal to the kids or the new generation. He knew those who know is all he needed if that makes sense.

But im curious to know how those of you on here, felt prince viewed ya'll? Did anything change over recent years or was he consistent in his feelings with you guys. I felt he brought people and especially fans much closer with the piano and mic concept.

I think Mature Prince knew his fans loved and appreciated him and he started to share more stories with his fans which was very cool wink Kinda gave us a look into the man that he became. I think he appreciated us in the end.

It's obvious we all mature -emotionally and physically - with age, and that wasn't any different with Prince. Watching videos from when he was younger to the latest one I watched was 2014, you can tell a huge difference in how he interacts. In interviews he still seems a bit nervous but he seems more down to earth and humble. Calm and serene.

You said it, man. I don't see Madonna inviting her fans over every other weekend or taking them out to the movies... I don't see anybody doing that. MJ and Neverland... well, let's not go there right now.

And again, I ask who? Who besides Prince, that is a major award winner, a certified diamond album seller, an R&R hall of famer, a Superbowl halftime performer... who else would go out and rip up a club for the price of an indie rock band? That shows love for fans and love for music.

I think pretty much his whole life all he wanted to do was play and share his music with appreciative audiences who "got him". In many ways, he gave so much more than the majority of performers.
