FUUUUC_! It's Prince so I can imagine when he says leave me, you go but why on earth was the man alone in such questionable times?!
i don't expect anyone would be allowed to watch over him as he slept but at least a baby monitor or something. Was there no one else in all of Paisley Park the entire night?
Sorry if this post offends but I'm just now beginning to grieve and it feels like I'm going through all the stages at once.
I'm not even interested in the vault material - I just want him back!

Yes this is really tragic for all of us and so hard to want to believe. And we're all mad about this moment of neglect leading to this end--not intentional--but we've all wanted circumstances to be different. > Best thing to do is let the grief roll over you in a safe place. It could take some time because this is personal for a lot of us. > I sympathize--take care and remember that rain sustains the flowers

You can't help but fantasize if you could go back in time and help in some way to prevent it. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

No offense taken, OvercastDaze, because the image of him alone in an elevator for hours is not the lasting image we want or need to have of him. Supposedly, it was not uncommon for him to be alone at Paisley Park, but given his recent health problems, it seems as if someone should have been present. Let's remove "the elevator" image from our collective memories, or at least place it below happier, funkier memories of him. Lately, I have been listening to "Play in the Sunshine" a lot and it has helped me to think about living life in the moment and making my day and life count for something. Prince has several songs that evoke a "carpe diem" sentiment, but these lines from "Play in the Sunshine" are among my favorite: We want to play in the sunshine ----- We gonna play in the sunshine ----- We gonna love all our enemies ------------------------- These lyrics, combined with the song's happy, uptempo beat, have been helpful. Maybe they can serve the same purpose for you and others. Best, Grog

I feel your pain and frustration...these same thoughts haunt me...I've been to PP four times since his passing trying to find solace or make peace with what's happened. There's no comfort right now in his music etc. I'm just giving it time I guess but it sucks in the meantime. It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN
