Prince at 27; I was 13 and just becoming a huge fan. He was surrounded by extras from the "America" video who look stunned crapless to be there. It is the year after the Purple Rain explosion and Prince is guarded. Fargnoli is feeding the questions, there are a bunch of softballs being thrown but Prince is so reserved, contrasting greatly with the intermingled scenes of the "America" video where he is in complete control of his band and the stage. He says he doesn't have walls around him, he's just like everyone else, and that he lives in a small town and always will. And he did. The shyness contrasted with the power...but then he starts about how cufflinks like his cost money is his "I'm the coolest guy in the room" voice and you see just how damn funny he was. An amazing moment captured in time.

Two other favorite parts:

Where he says he is not a superstar and then he gives the look that he probably trademarked (or should have) which shows that he knew he was a badass.

"I pray every night, I don't ask for much. I just say thank you."

I have to dig that out and watch it. Thanks for the reminder. That interview was a big deal back then, although the critics said it made him look weird. I loved it because not only did we get to hear him speak, but we saw his comedic, funny side. The live jam was the icing on the cake. Loved Wendy's look in the video too.
