21 April in past Prince history: you won't believe this!

I'm sure I'm not the only one to have noticed that but OMG!!!! Not only Prince has died in April but I've just realized Sometimes It Snows In April was actually recorded on April 21, 1985 eek eek eek eek

Maybe God exists after all, this is just too weird!

Life Can Be So Nice was recorded on that same day and, ironically, on April 21 1993, a track titled Fuck Da Press, which echoes in a strange, funny way Prince doing all the headlines now!

There were also 9 shows from 1992 to 2013.

Really cool find. He also died 17 years after the year 1999 which was 17 years after the album came out.

What a bizarre coincidence. I guess Sometimes It Snows In April will forever be associated with his death. Just playing it through in my head brings tears to my eyes. I don't know when I'll be able to sit down and actually listen to it again.

Parade might well be my favourite album, but it's now destined to be a musical journey with a bittersweet end.

I noticed that also. It was 31 years ago on day 21. Prince lived for the mystery so I wouldn't expect anything less of him now.

Sometimes it snows in April indeed. The song takes a greater meaning to me now since he died the month of April. I wonder if he saw it coming this soon, if he planned to die this soon. Never saw him as a quitter. I wonder what his last thoughts were as he was dying. I wished he didn't die alone. sad

Me too. When I see 1958-2016, my brain can't compute like I am seeing it for someone else. It's not right. We were all robbed. Prince, his family, friends and fans. This can't be happening!

I'll never be able to watch "Under the Cherry Moon1" again.or I'll have to at least skip over the sad part or just not watch the ending and go to Mountains Credits.

9 shows? What do you mean by that? From 1992 until 2013? I don´t get it. Is that a typo?

And I´ve never heard about an outtake called Fuck Da Press.

Is that circulating?

I was listening to the (old) Parade Peach and Black Podcast 12 hours before news broke.

They were discussing the aspect of character/fiction in the song and how it would apply to Prince or the Prince persona or Christopher Tracy Persona.

Afterwards it all came together on that day in April 2016 and this recording date closes it out for me.

Sometimes It Snows In April is unbelievably apt. I still can't bring myself to listen to it though cry

You know it snowed two days ago in Europe?

Ridiculous. Snow in April across Europe.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

All roads lead back to the number 7

His passing 4/21 = 7

Sometimes it snows in april recorded on 4/21 = 7

Sometimes it shows in april recorded 31 years ago on day 21, 3+1+2+1 = 7

3121 = 7

2016 = last two digits = 7

I am sure there is more we are all missing.

I will miss him dearly, the mornings are especially difficult. But I know that rainbow over Paisley Park was his doing.
