Something I've been pondering with all the Vault talk...

I wonder what the status is regarding WB and unreleased music. I'm not clear on what kind of contract he had with them and if they might have right of first refusal, etc...

i'm curious as to what the initial plan was after that press release about him teaming up

with wb again, in 2014.

obviously the purple rain remaster never came about, but i wonder what wb thought it

would be getting from that deal, before things slowed down after the release of AOA/PE.

they have 2 get past the crazy issues with his estate and lack of will first...

Well, on the WB side I would think nothing has changed. ...except now the cotnract would be with his estate.

I'm just wondering what the original terms were regarding, releases, what Prince might have been contracted to provide, and if Vault tracks are released in the future that they have to go through WB.

I know there was talk in the past that early recordings in the vault my fall under a "work for hire" situation if they were recorded on WB's dime, etc...
