The Best ONA Gig and Aftershow I know it has been discussed on several ocassions, but for the hell of it lets go through it again!
From what you've heard what was the best ONA gig of the tour? And what was the best aftershow? Let it begin! "London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"
"YEAH!!!" "Yeah, well then fuck those other fools!"

Well, I would say Antwerp. The sound was awful but I loved it. Anyway, it's the only one I've seen, but we need some Belgian support here... Belgian fans are so silent...

Aftershow : Bataclan / Nighttown Gig: Manchester 2nd night aftershow: Paris, le Bataclan I was at Manchester 2nd night and I don't think it would rate that highly. No piano segment, no Family Name, cut short show, cancelled afterparty...

Aftershow: Le Bataclan, Paris Bataclan was better than Marquee? You disappoint me Choc! It was very difficult to choose. Actually, I'm not able to make a decent decission about this! I was at The Marquee and it was great, but was also blown away by the Bataclan recording, unlike the Nighttown recording. Dont know... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Both nights had great things to offer. I went on both nights. First night with my dad, the second with a girlfriend. I personally felt prince was in a better mood on the friday. Saturday was more suited to the more hardcore fan. For example he played 'Don't Play Me', 'Seven', 'Strollin', etc. I know that the girl i was with would far preferred to have gone on the friday. I felt bad that she didn't get to see him do the piano pieces he did on the friday. There was a great moment on the friday when everyone was singing along to 'Snows In April' which i wouldn't have missed for the world! Judging from the ONAL set, I'm thinking Portland, OR was pretty damn hot. The people who were there certainly thought so.
Of course, I wasn't one of them. NnnoooOOOooo, I let a mere $120 keep me from going to that show. . .fuck me! I had already spent $250 on Prince stuff that month, what was another $120 gonna hurt?! Dammit!! FUCK ME! Myself:

From the European shows (and ive heard all the boots)
Regular show - Antwerp (hes in marvellous spirits and the rendition of SOTT sends shivers down your spine) Aftershow - Nighttown (The closing double whammy of Calhoun Square and Beautiful Strange is orgasmic, these performances surpassing anything on small club)

well i thought he saved a little something extra for the toronto show, a few months earlier i attended what i thought was the best show ever in buffalo( but i may be partial since i sang back up on stage during the soundcheck and shook hands with the man before the show)but the aftershow in buffalo was hot! nobody seems to appreciate these performances in buffalo, but he just played and played and played...he was really digging the scene that night!

Bataclan - Nighttown - Copenhagen - London >AFTERSHOWS are tops in my opinion of 2002. USA Aftershows were great but extraoridinary & intense stuff in Europe. SIGNAL

LA for the ONA show,

PORTLAND!!! Baby. I was lucky enough to be there for both the concert and aftershow. Everytime I listen to the Peach extended jam from that night, I still get goose bumps. "It ain't over" "May U live 2 C the Dawn"
