"Free Urself" This is the last song Prince released that I REALLY got into . . in fact I got so into it that I was able to pinpoint the genesis of Prince's influences were for the song
Why are so many people referring to this song as an intended title track for an album. When did he ever say he was going to be releasing an album called Free Urself | |

I don't do Facebook or Twitter or any of that but I remember seeing on here a discussion about something Prince said on one of those saying that Ruff Enuff and Free Urself were from the same album. I don't know if Free Urself was intended to be a title track on an album or if it was just a song from Phase Three, but whatever album it was meant for was shaping up nicely. If I Could Get Ur Attention and Ruff Enuff sound like they were from the same project. Add in 8 or 9 songs in a similar vein and you're looking at, potentially, his best album in years. | |

I recall there was a tweet saying something like that - they were sister tracks. . I don't think there was anything conclusive about Free Urself being the title track of an album but it did seem a bit of a theme with him selling t-shirts with the slogan. . I agree it's one his best songs in recent years. Also sounded great on the piano tour with the crowd chants | |

I just found out the rest of Prince's catalog is on iTunes . . I thought his music wasn't available on iTunes | |

"FreeUrself" was originally going to be Tidal only, PPoTW. I asked him on twitter if he could make it available for sale, because one week with it was not going to be enough. He retweeted my request, the same time he tweeted about the Free Urself t-shirts, asking if people were interested. He later deleted my tweet, and then said, "Ask and ye shall receive" and posted links to the 3EG store for the shirts and mugs. A little bit later he tweeted, "Btw (link to "FreeUrself" on itunes) : )". That was on September 30th. | |

If I recall he also tweeted an image - a Blule watercolour as a possible album cover for free urself. I remember the font got some grief for looking like it was written with matches.
