Awww, would loved to have seen it go to Number 1. But at least it went higher than its original release. That's still a feat.

It's great to see so many chart entries. It's fantastic to see HitnRun Part 1 in the album chart.

I was really hoping he'd get the number 1 album and single. To get neither is a huge shame. Especially the album, where he's been kept off the top by Beyonce's latest, steaming, curled out offering.

The only reason he didn't fill the album top 10 is stores ran out of stock by Wednesday. WB have said more are being pressed this week.

The top 3 albums would have been great to see . foiled by blinking Beyonce.

Impressive singles chart placings given the lack of streaming which accounts for a huge proportion of the UK charts these days.
On the sales singles chart alone purple rain is 2, when doves cry is 5 and kiss at 7.

On the sales only album chart 19 of the top 100 are Prince including Hitnrun phase 2 which is strange as I didnt think it was released yet..?

There are two reasons why Prince wasn't No.1

  • Some stores ran out of stock.

  • Beyonce's sold 10,000 copies via streaming - which is the biggest streaming sales since they were introduced into the chart last year.

As we all know Prince stuff isn't widely avaiable on streaming.
