Always.. he was the backbone to my teenage life and who I eventually became. I am still in shock everyday that he's gone.

Marvin Gaye, MJ, Teddy Pendergrass, David Ruffin... I'm still a fan, and they all had ugly stuff come to the surface in the wake of their passing.

Prince could have died in a murder-suicide surrounded by the slain bodies of the Revolution and I'd still be cranking "Erotic City" before going out tonight. As a person he has said some things I strongly disagree with and I still love his music and his persona. Moreover, it really rubs me the wrong way when people discount somebody's art because of his or her personal life. For example, Roman Polanski did a disgusting thing in the 1970s, but Chinatown remains one of the best films of that era.

And what about Phil Spector...

I've still chosen to be in denial mostly because it's easier and also because of such weird circumstances surrounding everything. Also, whoever believes the media/press anyway?

Totally, his personal life was his own business not ours. I doubt he had AIDS or took drugs, as far as I am concerned people like that don't release albums of fresh music every few months and play up a storm on stage when they are dying from Cocaine and Opium adictions while having AIDS. . Prince was woman, a man, and soemthing u will never understand. Prince's musical legacy will prevail over anything he could have done as a man. It is the same with MJ, he was on all those painkillers at the end and flitting about all over the place, but we did not love him less, because of the incredible legacy he left behind. . The same goes for any other big star like David Bowie, he was a drug addict and everything else in the 70s, but we still love him. Anyone who stops liking an artist because of drugs or whatever is a very shallow fan to start off with. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
