Anyone else trying reassemble lost Prince items? Somewhere along the way I've lost all my Prince Rolling Stone cover mags, a LoveSexy tour program, SPIN cover (from parade era), People mag (Undert the Cherry Moon), a SOTT tour pass, the GETT OFF one-sided 12 inch (that one is gone for good), some bootleg LPs, Billboard mag (SOTT era). Also, have a vague memory of having a Symbol baseball cap.
WTF did I do with all this stuff?!

The one thing I regret getting rid of is an official cardboard standee for Purple Rain of Prince on his motorcycle. I was working at a wrecka sto at the time and I had to fight with other employees to get it. I held on to it for a few year, but eventually I decided to get rid of it. I'm sure if I held on to it I could have sold it for a lot of money, but in the end, it's just a large piece of cardboard with a picture of Prince on it.

Me. I moved 4 times and left several cds at my mom's. She's only 49 so I won't be getting those back. She's crying about Prince too, and in her grief, mistakenly thinks I gave them to her. Diamonds and pearls. The gold experience, emancipation, for you, rave, 1999, black bootleg, batman. Purple rain. I am supposed to have everything except for crystal ball, come and lovesexy. Just never got around to those yet (I had hits too so I had some lovesexy tracks) Aaaaaand thanks to fake sudden fans some of them are sold out. I'm particularly sore about the gold experience. I own the movie and vinyl to Pr so I'm not even mad about that. Just need to get a turn table or wait for reissue. I literally don't have his top 3 selling cds right now. Mad. No matter the ©️, Paisley Park "official can never ™️ . He gave that to us verbally on Oprah in 1996. You can't take away from us, corporate. I mean O ( + >

Symbol necklace, Prince cap, Xenophobia Lanyard thingie, Concert tickets, NUMEROUS CDs. I am the worst about keeping organized. I know I never threw anything away though, but just to actually get my hand on things. I wish I had them all right in front of me right now. I'm digging through boxes and bags trying to see what CDs I still have. I have a Symbol painting on my wall in the living room off to the side that I totally just forgot was there - it has just been a permanent fixture like at least more than 10 years now so I really just kinda overlooked it because it was just always there. A friend of mine painted it for me - I texted her a few days ago re-thanking her for it because now it means that much more to me. I DID find a cool Latchwork Symbol another friend had sent me probably way back maybe around 2003ish. It was in a drawer that I was digging through. THAT will be framed now and put on my wall too.

I do wish I could find another Symbol keychain. I had a nice big one that I carried for years and lost when I had to report for Jury Duty. Security told me that I couldn't take it with me into the courthouse because of the 'point' it had and I could either toss it in the trash or take it back to my car. Since I'd been dropped off, I had to toss it. Needless to say, when I wasn't picked for the Jury less than an hour later, I sprinted back to that trash can to look for it, only to find it was gone. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Yes, I have lost a bunch of magazines (they were in a box that was stolen from the back of a car), tour program, a few VHS tapes and a t-shirt. Luckily, I have managed to keep hold of all the audio that I had.

In 2013 I flew from Nashville, TN to Anaheim to see Prince since I was getting tired of waiting for him to play more shows close to home. Long story short, they didn't sell merch at the gig (May 8th at the Grove). Have been looking everywhere for one of the LOL Tour t shirts from the UK... would probably pay a little $$ for one if anyone sees one.
Also: used to have a terrific "Cherry Moon" poster. Think I'll go rebuy it now, thanks for the reminder. I already have most of his releases on vinyl or CD, thankfully.

I lost my Controversy poster of him that my aunt gave me. I used to have to hang it up behind my door because my Mom claimed "I do not want to see Prince nekkid in a shower every time I enter your room!" Lol we moved about a year and a half ago and I cannot seem to figure out where it is. I'm also looking for my 21 Nights CD that conveniently disappeared as well. Ugh. From now on, 4 U I shall be wild 💜

I've moved around the world a lot and it seems like my whole collection is lost. How and when I don't know. Years of fan clubs mags, tour t-shirts, posters, tour books (including Act II which was signed by all members of the NPG 😭), Many VHSs, bootlegs, Vinyl, CDs (although Not al of them, thank God)... Hurts to think about. I wish I still had them.

I went into a video library circa 1985 to ask the owner if I could have one of the official Purple Rain umbrellas that he had in the window as part of an advertising display. I wasn't a member of the library, and I got about two paces into the shop when he said, sorry, members only here - or words to that effect.
I didn't feel like asking about umbrellas after that. Hot diggity (no swearing) I wish I had that umbrella.
