PrintableI saw 2 signed photos ( fake obviously) selling in excess of $700 people are so dumb, One of the sellers just happen to have a signed Bowie photo a month earlier after he past away... and just happened to have a Alan Rickman signed photo just after he died....( signed in the same pen as the Prince photo) lol

Yes that surprises me too. But that wasn't a popular tour or album, and he did a lot of USA dates, so there are a lot of the tourbooks out there. It's supply and demand. | |

Piano and Microphone Tourbook just sold for $530 on ebay. I've got to think the prices of those will drop eventually, but they are in short supply so who knows. They only sold them at a couple of shows. Electric Fetus sold hundreds of them though. | |

It's crazy, It was like this when MJ was murdered.It will be like this for almost a year.After that it will start to die down. Prices will be back to normal in a few years.I had bought the Billie Jean Hot Toys from Japan Doll a month before he passed for $125 and it was going for almost $1500 that year he died.Now its back down to $500-$600. But its still ove 5 times what I paid for it.I'm so glad I bought the Diamonds and Pearls lifesize standee last year or 2 years ago for $125.I have the purple rain and emancipation too. Thank God.But I can foget trying to get the First 10 Controversy fan zines. I'll have to wait 5 years to get those for a decent price now. Oh well. life's an unexpected b@tch!I'm thankful for what I do have. It's all I have left!That's what sucks. I could sell it now and make alot of money. The only thing Im looking for is the NPG Necklace. At the time I was broke from the One Nite Alone Tour. And just never was able to find it since then. I have most all the other jewelry except the NPG Ring that was in the 1800NEWFUNK hotline and Prince catalgue.I never bought it cause I wanted the symbol type of a ring. I bet its really expensive now and will remain that way.A couple of months ago someone was selling the Tamboracca and it sold for almost $150, now a steal! I feel sorry for that Seller. It was in January 2016. Just a few months ago. I was going to bid on it and then forgot...me stupid!That fan SCORED Big time! | |

I collect 45s (not just Prince. 45s in general) and buy a lot of large bundles/lots off eBay. Over the last few years I've gotten at least 4-5 of the Purple Rain purple vinyl 45s that I basically paid 25 cent a piece for. Now these things are selling on eBay for 25-50 bucks! This is ridiculous. This stuff ISN'T rare!! I just couldn't do people like that. |

just saw 'the dakota diaries' 8cd box (boot) for sale for $450 think i paid $98 for it back when it came out... keeping an eye on the sale just to see if it goes for, guess the only term left to use is...'funny money' like that
what i don't get is people paying up to $50 for things like the black album, tge, c&d,... sure they're out of print and all that, but you just know reissues are on the horizon now. so who's so desperate to hear 'dinner with delores' that they can't wait two years? It was not in vain...it was in Minneapolis! | |

People are paying insane prices for the vinyl. I just noticed on Amazon alot of his records are being reissued this summer, including The Black Album.
