Us as fans talking to the media.

As I'm sure you guys can imagine, a lot of media people have been getting in touch with myself and Ben over the last few days. I talked to BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, 5 Live, WM and World Service. I know Ben talked to CNN and some others. I know a couple people here already mentioned they heard me on Radio 2.

I also sent a media request from Australia out through our org Twitter page to any of us that have been at PP the last few days.

I also believe that a few other orgers have talked to media people but I can't always connect real names with org names, so if you've done so, please feel free to post it in here.

This article is a result of me talking to BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat. It's mostly accurate to what I said to them over the phone, but obviously they picked and chose what they wanted to print so I feel like it reads a little disjointed in places and some bits lack the context of what I actually said, but that's kinda how it goes with these things. Anyway..... feel free to read it.

My contribution to our friend that was picked up on multiple articles on line: 'Steven Scott, 32, of Eden Prairie, said he was Paisley Park last Saturday for Prince's dance party. He called Prince "a beautiful person" whose message was that people should love one another.

"He brought people together for the right reasons, " Scott said.'

I think I like many others would have wanted to share there feelings under different circumstances.

This was a great article!! And how awesome that you actually stood next to and exchanged words with Prince!! I was excited FOR you just reading this!! Such a huge loss it is losing this man. My heart still just aches with the reality of it all!

Thanks for sharing this though!! I love reading these tributes to him!

My brother passed me the BBC article 'The UK's biggest fan' and said '14 times?, bruv, he's an amateur!'.

I said to him, I know this guy, his blood is purple. We are a gang. biggrin

Militant, I read the article about you. You were so lucky and fortunate to have been able to exchange words with him. Talk about "right place at the right time". wink

Yep I thought that too, didn't realise it was one of the mods here when I read it.

Also, as an aside, how do people count how many times they've seen prince when you've been to multiples? Never sure whether to count aftershows separately or if they should be included as one with the main show. Plus I've strolled into three shows during the encores so not sure if that counts properly!

Today I made a list of when and where and how many times I´ve seen him, and I counted the aftershows as separate shows. But I did not count afterparties or Paisley Park events where he did not play.

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Well, I count aftershows, but stopped counting properly after 150 gigs. I know I've passed 200, but I'd have to go back and and study if I wanted the work out the exact number.

Besides, number of gigs doesn't define fandom.

I only saw him once in nyc snl.I work with a cd in nyc and we usually provide the kids for little comedy skits but, this week we just got to watch the show.3rdeyegirl and prince were the musical guest. They sang clouds, another love and another song i forgot the name. After he got off the keyboard and went into formation for the guitar well,he was strumming is that the correct word? But,nothing was coming out.He bent a little got the cord and plugged it in and went to town.He tried to take the focus off by looking to the right at the other guitar player. But,he was the best i think he played for like 8 or 9 mins.
