I wonder can you Trust the official results of the autopsy? Isn't it possible they could be bought to say something that is not true Maybe I'm a little skeptical like P, I don't think he had much trust in the government or elected officials...

If it turns out to be true it wont change my love for him as a fan. It will only make me sadder because he couldve lived with proper care. I dont wanna sound negative but I truly belief the JW's caused alot of this. He needed health care, but wasn't allowed to get it

You know there are LAWS that prevent public access to personal medical records As in ... It's nobodies business .. Not sure about post mortem BUT short of a diagnosis indicating foul play, I see no reason why anyone should have access to his medical info ... He certainly wouldn't want that

Then we have the issue of Prince himself being able to deal with growing older and even dealing with a sickness like that Remember alot of this man's career was based on his looks and his style as a man....I dont think he wouldve wanted to live with it.

I know it's other people besides the Enquirer that is posting the AIDS story but it is going to be the glaring Enquirer cover that is going to catch attention. Apparently this week the big Enquirer story is that Ted Cruz's dad might have had a hand in killing JFK. Last week Angelina Jolie was dying and apparently Michael Douglas is in his last days even though I think he is in remission. It's a slow news time and a mystery death like Prince is just what they needed. Their first goal was probably to get a coffin shot, like they did with Elvis and Whitney. Since that couldn't happen, Plan B which is to splash AIDS on the cover. Hell, the blind item was already out there, throw it out there and see if it sticks, right? Ignorant morons will see the cover, make their stupid AIDS jokes, and the Enquirer will laugh all the way to the bank. Their thought is that dead men don't sue and the family is in such disarray right now that they are not going to be able to assemble a legal team. And if they do, so what, the Enquirer will make tons off the issue and any damages, likely out of court, will pale in comparison. If it's true, it's true but I'm not going to believe it just because the Enquirer says so. All good things they say never last...

How do such rags keep on going when their "news" turn out to be lies or hyperbole time after time after time? I mean, I ´m sure they don´t take themselves seriously and their journalistic standards are practically nonexistent but still....have they ever apologized after their headlines turned out to be wrong? The thought had crossed my mind - perhaps he was living with some sort of chronic illness, became very upset when Vanity passed, and then chose to stop taking his own medication(s).
The stories I read sounded like Vanity was unable/willing to continue her life saving treatments. She openly told her church she was "ready to go home" the day before she passed. I took that to mean she chose to discontinue her treatments and pass on.
We'll never know how he truly felt about her passing. The timing is terrible. I hate to imagine... it's very sad.

The reason they "keep going" is because the poop they spread is what the small minded population think.

If he was living with HIV/AIDS it shouldn't change anybody's love for him. Hard to imagine anybody getting judgemental about Prince - the man made his name on being famously promiscuous. Too many songs hint at bisexuality. If you have identity baggage and you're a Prince fan... ((YOU)) really have identity baggage.

The tragedy is not because he contracted HIV/AIDS (there are millions of people living with HIV), but if he did stop taking his meds because he was thinking that "God cured him" when he could have lived much longer had he continued taking his meds, much like those with certain types of diabetes have to take insulin regularly to manage it. Yes, this. Unfortunately millions of people do buy and enjoy this trash, they like to see famous people brought down. And lots of people do actually believe everything they read. It never occurs to them that there is a whole industry behind it and a lot of dirty money changes hands behind closed doors. They just take it all on face value and find it entertaining. I had close seats during his Oakland concert back in March, with cameras zooming in on his face and the top of his head. Other than tell-tale signs of thinning hair and wrinkles which come with age, there was nothing revealing any deterioration of his health.
Of course, such an eyewitness account means nothing when it comes to his diagnosis, but discussions about how frail he appeared in the last six months seem grossly exaggerated.
And screw THE ENQUIRER. [Edited 4/27/16 18:03pm]

At the end of day if it turned out that these rumors are true it still wont change my appreciation for Prince's music or change my thoughts on him as a human being. I will still love and miss Prince very much. His personal life was his. ~The Poster Formerly Known As ParadiseKiss03~

He exhibited zero symptoms of suffering from either HIV or AIDS. I don't expect for a minute that he had AIDS -- it wouldn't particuarly upset me, but I think it's just more of the media frenzy feeding itself.
I expect he died from an overdose of a prescription drug or pneumonia as mentioned earlier. A friend of mine is going to the Rio Olympics to run the 4x400m relay this summer; last November he contracted what he thought was a flu; eventually he went to hospital where they informed him that if he'd stayed at home two days longer he would have died of pneumonia. Prince, at age 57, has every chance of having died of something similar.

Extreme Christian cults believe in proper medicines as unchristian and think the power of prayer can cure any disease. . The aids rumour is up there with the one he was a cocaine and opium addict for the last 10 years of his life. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I may be way off base here, but I lay his death soley at the feet of Larry Graham. No one wants to believe the story about AIDs, but unfortunately it will be proven true. It makes the situation all the more heartbreaking because he didn't have to die. Multiple stories suggest it was his close religious friends that convinced him to go off his medication and that he had been cured by God. Unless things had changed, Larry was his biggest spiritural influence in JW.
As for any arguement that it was against the JW religion to take the medication - that just isn't true at all. If it were, Prince would have never taken the percocet.
This is all just so horrible and tragically preventable.

Had to reopen my account after a couple years just to say one thing. I agree with all you said in the above post, except for one small detail that people are overlooking. JW's do not believe in miraculous healing by God (at least from what I've known from the JW's I have encountered) and also would not advise against taking meds that someone had been taking for the better part of 20 years (if given the correct time frame). The blind item said the subject was taking meds up until 2 years ago. My question is this: who else was P closely around 2 years ago that WOULD believe in miraculous healing by God and maybe indirectly influence him? Just a question with a very obvious answer if you think about it.. [Edited 4/27/16 21:40pm]

But we will never know what trouble Prince would have gotten into if he had never met Larry Graham. For all we know, he came into Prince´s life during a very dark phase, so maybe meeting him was good for Prince. From a fan´s perspective, as far as influence on his music goes, I have been skeptical of Larry since day one but, on a personal level, I don´t know him and he´s probably a very nice person, so I´d be careful with such accusations because if Larry was indeed a good influence on him as a human being, then judging Larry just because we don´t like him would be a very mean thing. You might be right, but...we don´t really know, do we? " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Dont read the trashy magazine articles, and especially staym away from tmz and fox news. The only source i trust will be the examiners report and news from the family. Even then, i dont wanna know if he had cancer or anything else. Its so personal. We have music to remember the man we loved for years and years to come. Prince also died the same day my mom did 5 years ago. I woke up thinking i was gonna be (still) mourning my mom and then,,, Prince. My personal thinking is that he had terminal cancer, but i dont wanna go there. PEACE & 💜4ONEANOTHER Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.
