I think people are going to want to know if he stepped foot in his studio and rolled tape when he got back from Atlanta, even if they weren't meant for the public to hear.

I thinked of this since when I listened the story of the 154 hours without sleeping.

Maybe it was aware that his time had to stop, and wanted to let a musical goodbye a-la Bowie's "Blackstar".

But probably I'm just hot in emotional imagination. Anyway, if it is we will know.

Certainly, I would love to see one last truly 'new' album released in the next year or so, compiled from what good unheard stuff he managed to record over the last 6-12 months.

Yeah, he did that song with Mono back in January, but you ain't telling me that an active, though perhaps not fully well, Prince, didn't record a bunch more stuff over the last several months.

Sadly, it wouldn't surprise me that future releases will conveniently forget this possibility and instead focus on bringing out 80s vault material from the very start of the 'posthumous career' .

Fingers crossed I'm wrong, and you never know, maybe he was labouring hard on some new recording project at PP in his final days, perhaps his own equivalent of Bowie's 'Blackstar'. If so, hope he got it done.

Heck sheila said in an interview that her and Prince records hundreds of songs together, so there alone is a treasure trove of unheard music.

I've no doubt he recorded something in his last week. I know everywhere in PP was wired to record. I'd love to hear the last finished song.
