So the core group of the NPG (Sonny Thompson, Michael Bland, Morris Hayes and Tommy) are "others" and Levi, Atlanta and Eric are the NPG?

I understand that the name NPG was first mentioned before Sonny, Morris, Mike and Tommy stepped on the scene but they will always be the original NPG to me.

If there's a big tribute show it would make sense for the band from each era to be playing those songs.

I don't know if you'd do it chronologically though, or in reverse?.. Would be an interesting show either way!!

Dirty Mind/1999 - line up with Dr Fink, Bobby Z, Lisa Coleman, Des, Andre, maybe Jill Jones

Purple Rain/Parade - Wendy joining, and Brown Mark, Eric Leeds, Matt Bliss, and Sheila E on percusion

SOTT/Lovesexy - Original NPG, with Sheila on drums, and Miko Weaver and Levi Seacer Jr joining. Maybe get one of his more recent singers to replace Boni Boyer?

Diamonds and Pearls/Gold - NPG line up with Michael Bland on Drums, Sonny T, Tommy and Morris Hayes, and Rosie Gaines

Then we get into a grey area of various lineup changes that I have no idea how you split up!?

In reality I don't think you could do the DirtyMind/1999 lineup. It would need to end with The Revolution... Although I'm certain Prince would want it to end with 3rd Eye Girl!

more than likely Eric Atlanta Bliss and Cat will be with any Revolution gatherings.

I believe any 80s band members will/would be more connected to together.
