Very emotional piece.

"Looking back, I guess I didn’t realise how much he meant to me, or the extent to which Prince had always been a part of my life."

Ditto. sad

"I told him I was only 16 – looking older than my years undoubtedly, made up and all – and he took on a very concerned demeanour. This is where he showed his character as a man and since then I’ve always been such an admirer. Prince requested that his limo service drive us girls home safely."

He was VERY ethical when he was not on stage.

"Cuz I've seen the top and it's just a dream"

Has prince.org posted a guide to what is acceptable to say/speculate ? Is there some form of detailed forum rules to what thoughts we can articulate ?

Articulate all that you want, but no need to spew venom for the pleasure of spewing it.

Prince is criticized left and right for not leaving a will, not crediting properly, mismanaging his business and other matters -- do that to your heart's content but respect those who are paying homage. There are people here that, if given the chance, would be the Westboro Church of this website. Mourners deserve to grieve without undue hostility.

Let's just say that shit-talking about Prince, usually from the same few people that did so in his life, will not be tolerated now he's not with us. Because it's utterly despicable behaviour, especially when it hasn't even been one week since he left us and we're all still grieving.

I think this is fair enough. Thank you to everyone that is being civil and respectful. I'm sure negative things will creep back in, not everything I say about the man is positive for sure. But people that can't be civil and respectful to others when we're not even a week past his passing should save it for later and those that can't well.... "SNIP!" wink

Thanks, mods! I'm sure this has been the hardest week ever to do what you do... hug
