LotusFlow3r & MPLSound.

LotusFlow3r & MPLSound don't get any love from the superficial MSM and they're simply brilliant. But I don't mind. Both albums flew below the corporatist radar and a like private personal letters to his fams.

Listened to both yesterday. Lotus is fantastic; I wore it out in 09 and it holds up. I always found MPLS less interesting and it didn't hold up as well as I recalled it.

Elixir is always forgotten or ignored, but it's good. Her singing is not up to par, but the songwriting is good.

Wall of Berlin is one of my favorite songs of his later career.

I remember when I bought the album(s), I found lotusflow3r to be more of a sequel to Planet Earth musically, whereas MPLSound felt like a PG funk album. I immediately enjoyed MPLSound more just for Valentina and chocolate box alone, however, as time has passed, I have found I appreciate lotusflow3r a lot more now as I believe it holds up better than MPLSound, but listening to them both as one package presents one of Prince's more underrated gems.

Lotusflow3r is amazing but I also like MPLSound alot. Elixir is good, definitely his best protege album since the 90s

Lotusflower is brilliant. Sadly, it has turned out to be his last truly great album. A late career highlight.

Love Lotus. You can hear he worked hard on it and there was some kick ass guitar playing

Happened to be listening to it right now. It's a fantastic set of albums, easily one of my favorite latter-day outings.
