I took him for granted.

His music has been a constant for the entirety of my life. The albums, the boots, the concerts, the videos, the 100's of hours that I have spent enjoying his music and sharing it happily with others. Being a fan of Prince has been a part of my life and who I am on a greater scale than I realized. I wish I could thank him in person.

Just felt like airing that out.

Thanks.

From 1984 to about 2001 my life was measured not so much in years but in Prince albums. Even after, I feel like I settled into a comfort zone with him. Not expecting too much, taking what I could get, seeing the shows when I had the chance. Making compilations of the bits and pieces of his new output that I liked. Hoping that he would eventually mellow out, establish real relationships, HELL maybe sire a child.

Still so friggin' MADSAD about this.

I was a casual fan up until around 92, then it was all Prince, all the time. Around 08-09, I fell back a little bit. Of course I bought everything that was released as soon as it was released, but I slowed my visits to the org, boot purchasing, concert trips, and overall Prince focus. I, like almost everyone else, assumed he would be different than many legendary artists that died too soon. Of course Prince would record album after album and tour well into his late 70s. We would never be void of new music, new Prince material. there will always be another concert to see. Another road trip to Minny for Prince. I was wrong. I last saw him live in 07, but never again. What a big mistake.

We all did. We thought he would live forever. Not God's plan.

Don't be mad at God. There is a bigger plan.

I thought he might live to his late 80s. I always had some self doubt but kept that close.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

He hears us all and is in a beter place. He leaves us his legacy of music and stories people will tell in years to come. Keep him close to your soul and like someone else said look out for his spirit. We will see it somewhere else. pray

Whatever you heard about me is true
I change the rules and do what I wanna do
