I've been reading about his family in the last week and I noticed that his brother Duane passed away in his 50's too Has anybody read anything about his other family members that have passed on and whether they died young too?

His parents were both much older when they died. His dad was 85 and his mum was 68 or 69 I believe.

I think the dad is the only one who really lived a long life But I guess Im reading too much into it maybe

Yep, but even Prince's mum had 10 more years. When you get closer to your 70's it's not such a shock and if Prince had died at that age, then I don't think we'd be so affected. It's the completely out of the blue passsing that makes it so much worse. But having said that, it still hasn't really sunk in with me properly yet.

I got questions because I was not up on the siblings and Prince. I read somewhere that he was close with his parents and his siblings. I know that at times he and his dad were close but I didn't know he was close with his mother? Was he close with his sister? I always thought Prince kept a distance between himself and his family. Were the other siblings at the service? Just curious>

She has been trough a lot. She and Prince made amends and their relationship was good. That is all that matters.

Exactly and while we are at it, don't read a lot of what's coming out. This week he's a drug addict, next week he'll be a pimp, the week after that, secret relatives and kids will be popping up. SMH. I only read the articles that USA Today are putting out to be honest, the rest are unreliable.

Lorna and both parents were all past retirement age, so not young.

I had no idea Duane had died; at least it didn't seem immediately familiar. I just asked about him on another thread.

Even if Tyka did have a sorted past - who doesn't? Not that we've all delved into prostitution, but we all have something we'll forever hide from folks. Her story is no different, it's just public.
