I went to see Prince at the Sydney Opera House two months ago. I wondered what all the moon imagery was about, the phases of the moon with the full moon in the centre, appearing on all the posters and merch.

Then the night he died almost exactly two months later, it was a full moon.

I happened to have my birthday party at my house on the same night. We played Prince all night, I looked up at the full moon in the sky from my backyard. I found this very unsettling. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, just-- spooked.

I said the exact thing to my wife this mornign, we were driving and I looked at my Piano & Mircophone mug and had the same thought??????

It's a cycle. The moon cycles through all these phases, from the New Moon, waxing until you get to the Full Moon, then it phases (cycles) back to the New Moon. Life is a cycle, waxing and waning, just like the moon, just like the seasons, just like the trees through the seasons. As I had said in my blog about the Atlanta shows, it seemed Prince had come full circle (Full Moon), and was feeling the cycling of life. The moon cycles are a perfect representation of this.
