From December 4, 1975 to April 21, 2016 In the coming days, TMZ, Harvey Levin, Media Takeout, BOSSIP, CNN, MSNBC and other outlets will spin Prince's death as a drug overdose-as if Prince was chasing a high from heroin or cocaine. Don't believe their stories. None of them played rock guitar, sang, did the splits, choreography, led a band and did chant-and-response routines simultaneously night after night for more than 30 years. None of these people spent hours on end rehearsing, composing and playing on the road long after he amassed so much wealth he could retire. My point is that Prince sacrificed his body to entertain and motivate himself to take on new challenges. He was a workaholic and never saw making music as "work". Always approached music making with passion and intensity. For a guy who loved life and living it to the fullest, I refuse to believe he gave in. None of these outlets saw the dedication it took for him to win the acclaim, popularity and respect his talent merited. Prince was the embodiment of the best of Black American music from r&b, funk, jazz, gospel and even hip-hop. For an African-American artist it is rare for this much mourning and outpouring of love from fans globally. He was a male fashionista-his attire was idiosyncratic style of dress was Superfly long after Ron O'Neal made it cool. His way of talking with his relaxed demeanor and low voice was Barry White meets Billy Dee Williams. Lastly, the man wore eyeliner, heels, straightened hair and even midriff was more masculine than 90% of these "hardcore rappers" out now. In closing, he has everyone's respect for the great music he made for 41 years. From 1975 to 2016, he was always in the studio making music. His music will outlast any of these tabloid clowns for a long time come. They have no right to judge how he treated his ailments, nor his convictions. ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE HIM. 3121 #1 THIS YEAR | |

We should use our anger to shot that down. I like TMZ but they have made me angry with their "reporting" on Prince. We just have to keep them honest and not let them take Prince's memory there. I have to give a very big shot to Toure who has been telling the people on NBC and its affliiates that Prince was not a drug user. I watched Brian Williams try but Toure held him at bay and said if Prince is doing drugs, it started recently. Beautiful, Loved and Blessed
Thank You Prince | |
