I remember seeing it at the cinema when it was first released. The audience was a little restless because they were expecting Purple Rain II and not a concert movie.

My last time seeing Prince at the movies was when the Los Angeles Musicology concert was simulcast in cinemas in 2004.

This was how i saw Prince for the first time! Fell in love right then. I wish they would put that concert on DVD.

Saw this in a theater in Hollywood. 87. Went with a girl I was trying to get with. The volume was so incredibly LOUD! The seats were vibrating visibly in the dark! When the drum loop kicked in during the beginning of Sign, it felt like our chests were caving in because of the bass. Didn't get with the girl, but loved the flick.

theatres need to do advance sales and make it happen....although 3 chains isnt on dvd
