Show you right! I think some fans are acting more like family than what I'm seeing from so called family!

So what happened, he faked his death?

Yeah it all seems to go a bit too quick now. Have they found an official testament yet with Prince's wishes? Was Prince close to his sister again in recent years? Forever changed

Yes... please. If you feel something isn't right, or sinister, please come out and say exactly what you think might be happening. I'm too exhausted for the cryptic games.
I've personally received cremated remains. That guy seems to be carrying a normal sized package, with something to shield it from cameras. [Edited 4/23/16 18:25pm]

I feel like I'm in a whirlwind, all this has happened so fast. My head aches from it all.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
That was quick. I haven't even processed the fact that he's gone. Haven't said goodbye to Prince yet. "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

If this was truly his wishes.. we as fans have no right to disagree with it.. we had him since 1978 he deserved a final private moment with his family... we owe him at least that for all he's given to us..

I had a feeling on the 3rd day it would take place. Perhaps he wanted it to be like the resurrection of Jesus Christ. .
Hey, Prince is preparing great music for us in the after life. We'll all meet again ya'll for that big concert in the sky. I'm trying to focus on the positive (but gosh it's hard at times). [Edited 4/23/16 20:37pm] Superfunkycalifragisexy!

WELL SAID - it's exactly how I feel. Prince doesn't owe us anything. Superfunkycalifragisexy!

I have a question, though. Do Jehovah's Witnesses prefer burial? I could see issues with this, the concern about grave robbers and such, but I thought the part of the religion included burial only. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

[Edited 4/23/16 18:08pm] The fact they are saying no obvious signs of trauma but not no signs of trauma is a red flag. And just as he was writing memoirs. He absolutely would have talked about the industry and the slave debacle and maybe someone didn't want that info out. I hope I'm wrong and just overthinking cause a lift could have very well made him go into cardiac arrest from some other condition too, but the 911 call was bizarre. Like that Conrad Murray not knowing where he was [Edited 4/23/16 21:37pm]

Is this really within rules of Jw faith? I have a JW friend at work and she's been to a couple of funerals for people from her congregation in the last year and they were both huge "events" organised meticulously way after a week.

Bowie was cremated very soon after he died, too. No big service, no fans gathering at a funeral home or anything. Just a 'quick and dirty' cheap municipal cremation. Ashes scattered somewhere unknown.
I think this defines greatness and humility. Praise people when they're alive, not go and worship a grave or something. Erase the body from history, while the spirit lives on....

I don't get the stunned reaction to the speed of things. Everybody in my family was buried or cremated within 3 or at most 4 days of the death. The autopsy was done, the state turned him over to his family--the family did what the state expected they'd do, which is move on with their personal arrangements. Is anyone seriously suggesting they just keep the body around for the four weeks they're saying it might take for results from the autopsy? That's ridiculous. You can't expect people to put their grieving (and taking care of the body has to happen for that to progress) on hold just because Prince was famous and some people in broader world want a public memorial.
Yes, it's fast. But not suspiciously faster than is typical. Especially if anything were already in place (and it wouldn't surprise me at all if Prince hadn't had plans beforehand. Many people do, even when there's no reason to expect death anytime soon. I can see that Prince wouldn't have wanted things to be out of control at this time, and he could have set things up).
