So all of this is to ask, what other songs are there that you had no idea what Prince was singing, before you looked up the lyrics on the internet?

i still cannot figure out wtf he sings in this one part of the 1st verse of "gotta stop (messin about)":

There are A LOT of Prince songs, that, when I 1st heard them, I didn't know WHAT the hell he was saying/singing..


The 1st 1 that immediately came to my mind was "soft & wet" when I thought I heard:

I remember having a hard time for YEARS with the line in Kiss "...ain't no particular sign I'm more compatible with"

Even when listening to the Tom Jones/Art of Noise or John Wesley Harding's version, I still couldn't get it. I was incredibly frustrated! I remember a friend finally told me it was ..."ain't no particular SIZE I'm more compatible with" which I thought was referring to the "act your age, not your shoe size" line, but that would mean Prince would be a little dim-witted, which I never thought he would say about himself!!
