sonshine said: It struck me today how all this talk about Prince and his health issues, his personal issues, his private life just feels so wrong. I'm as guilty as anyone else getting caught up in the speculation. But it feels so disrespectful to his memory. He would hate that we were all weighing in with our mostly personal opinions. It won't change anything. Honestly I don't really want to know or need to know unless he wanted us to know. Which I'm sure he didn't given how hard he tried to maintain a lower profile in his personal life. The more that comes out the harder it is to reconcile his death. For me anyway. I just want the ache to go away and enjoy what we have left of him. The hardest part is accepting we won't ever enjoy him in the flesh again. Debating his medical issues only prolongs accepting the reality. The media needs to just simmer down too. Between them and all the "leaks" the last two weeks looking back it was getting out of control, a circus atmosphere. I feel like I'm finally ready to accept what happened as what other choice is there? All of the sifting of these events, for the most part, are not being done to be judgmental of Prince. I believe that Prince would have wanted the conversation about chronic pain relief to take place. Even though the majority of his fans have been brought to this website because of his music, most of his fans are also searching for a reason for Prince's death. If. at the very least, we use Prince's death to shock us into starting to take chronic pain relief seriously, then his death will not have been in vain. Rest In Peace, Prince. We will NEVER forget you. RIP Prince. We will NEVER forget you. Thank you so much.

A) the fro is more of a curly perm a la Purple Rain and not as kinky as Prince's. B) the person is wearing jeans with ripped knees. Prince didn't even allow his staffers to wear jeans, to my understanding. C) the skin of this actor is darker. I know it's b&w, but you can still see it. D) it's the National Enquirer. I didn't even have to bring up the prior points. Aaaaaand it says on the bottom in fine print "photo re-creation." Slam dunk. They aren't even trying to pass them off as real. How can the punk who posed for those photos live with himself. I hope he's enjoying his $20.

There's a part of me that thinks that there was some other illness going on with Prince. Of course the Rx dependence is very plausible given that he lived with chronic pain.

exactly cuz that damn well aint Prince...damn

Besides the chronic pain I do believe he was sick with some other illness.

Who's to say that he was at Walgreens to buy a Rx? I go to Walgreens several times a week because it's close to my house, but the majority of the time, it's to buy items other than a Rx.

We don't have all of the info. The doctor who saw Prince the night before he died may have recommended that Prince go to the hospital and Prince could have refused. We simply do know that yet.

The Associated Press has reported an article on Andrew Kornfeld, the person who had the wherewithal to call 911 for Prince.

No it's not, it states that it is an re-enactment, but it's disturbing none the less. [Edited 5/8/16 12:22pm]

If Prince indeed went into the Walgreens it was probably for a script. I can't imagine Prince going to Walgreens for something like razors or deodorant. I think he would've sent someone on an errand run if he needed anything but a script from Walgreens. [Edited 5/8/16 13:03pm]

. Yes it is called "the flu". He supposedly tweeted that he was sick with the flu before the ATL shows were even postponed so no reason for him to make that up.

Come on y'all.
It was always obvious Prince was high as a kite. Look at his idols (Jimmy and Jimi and the rest). Nobody plays guitar like that - not even Macca unless they're having a little help.
But it's not a bad thing. As Bill Hicks says ...

Personally I think this punishing schedule laid the foundation for prince's immune system to be in bad shape. Have you ever flown long haul? Feel like sh*t the other end, neer mind crossing the date line twice. And he's playing a bunch of gigs at either end:
16th Feb - Melbourne 2 shows 17th Feb - Melbourne 2 shows 20th Feb - Syd 2 shows 21st Feb - Syd 2 shows 24th Feb - Auckland 2 shows 25th Feb - Perth 28th Feb - Oakland My password is what

This is a ridiculously oversimplified view of the pharmacodynamics of any drug. There are so many factors besides weight (age, gender, race, concomitant use of other drugs, tolerance to other drugs, level of physical activity, sodium levels, water intake, genetic phenotype, stress, disorders such as malabsorption syndrome, previous surgeries) that can potentialy impact the absorption, bioavailability, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of a drug in the human body. Just an FYI, people who are overweight or obese present just as much of a dosing challenge as cachectic patients because their organs are often impared. If a man is considered guilty
