Interesting, thanks for this. I was looking at the sales figures here: http://www.digitalsalesda...ion=143444
When streaming is factored in positions may be lower but looks like some new peak positions will happen especially with the albums.

Thanks for your link too. In the final chart do the Official Charts Company tally all version of songs together and count them as one. I see there several versions of Purple Rain in your link, likewise for 1999 etc. Will we see several Purple Rains or just one next Friday? | |

Yes, they are all added up for one total, so Purple Rain is outselling anything else when you look at the combined totals. | |

It would be really cool if Purple Rain becomes No 1 single and album at the same time. It rarely happens anyway that an act get the double and even rarer that they are both called the same track/album name. | |
