At least 20/20 is not ignoring the black people in his life as most retrospectives do - Londell, Jimmy Jam, even his hairdresser, Kim. Refreshing. There is too much John Mayer though. Would Prince approve of a closet racist like this guy? Why not DAngelo or Questlove or Janelle Monet - artists who really know and love Prince and owe their ecistence to him?

20/20 just said that Warners wanted John Travolta to play the lead in "P.R."... ...now that's the first time I've ever heard that.

They had to have thrown this together very quickly. It's not bad, but, yeah, too much John Mayer. They got a musician who likes prince and once they did, they probably didn't get anyone else.

I know they want to capitalize on the moment, but they could have done so much better waiting until Sunday or next Friday.

Really interested to see all the media in light of his death - books, documentaries, 20/20-style TV pieces, blog thinkpieces, magazine articles. I hope somone can respectfully delve into his life and legacy.

I go back and forth between immersing myself in all of the collective love - the FB posts, he articles, the TV specials, the forum conversations, and then pulling away for a few hours and just ignoring it all and contemplating on my own before I come back to the discussion. It can be overwhelming at times.

One reported noted that he and Mayte lost two children, not just Boy Gregory. I'm not sure I ever knew this.

Most of these are rehash of things we've seen already a gazillion times. But it's still therapy to get through these shows, and let out tears, or laughter, or whatever.

Going to watch the SNL show on Saturday

I hope these shows get put up somewhere so the rest of us can see them, we dont have those here in Australia.
