How does anyone get to hear things that are "leaked"? I guess pay bootleggers when they start sellin' em. Nothing free about music.

My "package" also includes a file titled "Purely" with Prince on guitar and voice, seems he was recording his parts over the rest of the music. I know that song and I know it with Prince on vocals, I think it's a cover but right now I can't remeber what it is. Help somebody?

I really don't care about leaked songs and bootlegs. My main concern is: there will never be any more NEW music from him ever again !! that's what's depressing me most. It's sad, very sad he's gone. people here are wondering about vault releases only a day after this tragedy. I really don't care about the vault. I really liked the new stuff also. and now it's over. forever.

I'm going through the motions. Ofcourse I'm interested to hear these songs, but my heart is too heavy too feel the excitement.

Bootleggers selling Prince music should get punished for it. It's the least tasty thing to do right now. We should pay some respect now.

Yes good point and maybe i shouldn't listen to them and then end up always associate them with Prince's passing and the pain felt right now. I downloaded them though.

I started a thread asking this. I'm worried.

On Thursday when I tried I got the same thing as when trying the Org: the page I see when a site isn't working. Now when I try I get the page I see when a website is GONE. I'm really stressing this and hope they're not going away or if they are that they allow someone else to take up the mantle. Princevault really is the most important research tool I use for keeping track of Prince's massive library. I'd pay to have access to that info. Just sayin'...

I doubt anyone's sold any bootlegs off except on eBay, you have people who have held onto tapes they got that will probably put something out there.

This just turned up on a more mainstream place and it says rename Possessive to My Love Belongs To You. So that's probably the proper title.

I guess we'll find out when Prince's will is made public, assuming there was one. Quest would be a great choice. Any engineer and former band member would probably have great input as well. I respect Larry for his gifts to the music world, and for being a good friend to Prince, but I hope he's not appointed.

Just listening to Velvet Kitty Cat now, and it's bringing a smile. I love when Prince showcases his sense of humor in his songs.

Selling his bootlegs shows one has no class and no dignity.

Those two new leaked MPLS type grooves are brilliant, the other stuff is also really cool, hopefully more of this stuff will come forth in the future, it does somewhat help ease the pain of his passing.

To me though Possessive does bare a resemblance to Possessed in some of the synth lines so I took it as the two songs are connected like Wet Dream and Wet Dream's Cousin.

My Love Belongs To You is an unreleased track recorded on 20 April 1983 at Sunset Sound, Hollywood, CA, USA (the day after Velvet Kitty Cat). The track was recorded for possible use on The Time's third album Ice Cream Castle, but the song was not included on the release.

I don't know what is going on but I was on Amazon last night ordering some books and I did a Prince search and those 4 titles came up but by other artist. And I was trying to get the connection. Now it makes since. What's that line from Grafitti Bridge-it all comes out in the wash.
