How does the fact that HitnRun is the last thing Prince left us make you feel? I am especially concerned with the parting note that Phase 1 leaves. Prince was just so much better than some amatuer producer of EDM. There is some consolation in the fact that Phase 2 is the final official release. And it probably doesnt matter to the masses or the media because all they are talkng about is his 1980s work - as if he did nothing since.
I guess I am just sad and angry. There are only a few things in this world that I love - I get no joy from anything except Prince. Now I have to face the rest of life without it. But to hell with my sorry ass - Prince is where he belongs now. Free, beautiful, and full of love and music that nothing he did here could ever equal. I have done everything you said since 1978. I am the original Prince fan - devoted since For You. People laughed at me when I called him a genius in the 70s. I had the Controvery shower poster on my bedroom wall despite the gay accusations - he was that cool to me. I made anyone I met listen to 1999 as I carried the double album to school in my bookbag everyday. I have thousands of bootlegs and every official release - in fact, I was listening to a Diamonds and Pearls CD in my car the moment he died. I dont care what anyone else thinks - never have. I have always had Prince and I always will. Save America - Stop Illegal Immigration. God bless America. PEACE

The whole thrill while listening to the latest album was anticipating how he was going to mix things up next.
I imagine that he already had many complete albums ready to release in their own time all queued up, just in case this thing call life ended before he could live to see their release. [Edited 4/21/16 20:32pm]

Fine with it. I doubt he figured they'd be his final works (and they probably aren't knowing his profilicity), there's a handful of new songs that I love, many I like, and a few that I'm happy to see have an official album release. Never mind the fact Prince's throwaways are probably better than 2/3's of what is considered hip now. 1000 X's and 0's and Look At Me are two of my favorite Prince tracks (out of several dozens, to be fair) and they are brand new. He's never not surprised me.
I mean, how many of us go out on our best day of life? He made music almost all of his life, and he did it until the end. The idea that an artists final work should be even comparable to their best when they were releasing some of the world's greatest albums when they were barely old enough to legally drink a beer is absurd. I have a feeling there is still a lot more music to come... I just hope that it has been left in good hands.

I still love Phase I. Not so keen on Phase II. While there's nothing bad on it, as a whole it didn't capture me the way so many of his previous works did. For me it sits side by side with Musicology in the not bad but nothing amazing category. RIP

. You did not listen to phase 2? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

I'm feeling shock, sadness and little angry. I thought we'd all be here chatting and picking apart new albums etc for another 20 years. It felt like there was a lot he still had left to do and to offer, 57 is just... I'm gobsmacked. . It doesn't really matter what the last album was, it was the last one.

I love Phase 2, but it's not the definite late career masterpiece that I always hoped for and will never arrive. Thinking of all the music that will never get, everything we've lost today. It's unbearable.

None of us know what will happen with the songs in the vault now.

I think we all thought the same thing. I just assumed Prince would go on and on. With MJ it felt inevitable, but with Prince, this doesn't feel like the right ending for him, not this young, not this soon.

I think Prince gave us 4 solid albums in the last 18 months, which is remarkable.

The prince endgame was strong .. If eye were 2 speculate eye might conclude p knew his health was fading for some time .. The 4year break was when it all began .. No doubt he spent that time organizing his music and other aspects of his life .. The afro was likely due to his illness ... Many celebrities have overused chemicals in hair causing brain tumors .. Gone were the hair toxins .. Then we have the 4 phases shown on tidal leading up to the pr remaster ... And the whole art official age concept deals with knowing immanent death .. The final prince art phase cover has prince eyes closed with his 3rd eye open indicating his passing .. The piano shows all very retrospective ... The memoirs... It is all very well planned out as someone knowing the end is near ... I imagine phase 3 would have been more spiritual and phase 4 would be pr remaster and phase 5 would have the eyes closed 3rd eye open cover ... Eye wonder what is on phase 5 ... Probable some great tunes as phase 1 was a bit of introductory fun ... Phase 2 rnb seriousness ... Phase 3 spriritual .. Phase 4 pr ... Phase 5 musta been special ... Anyway ... I am not a big believer in death ... I feel we are all souls and energy and are all connected eternally as one ... But eye do feel a bit like that moment in starwars when obi wan senses a million souls crying out in pain all at once after alderan dies Peace and be wild purple peeps

I truly like HNR2. Glad to have the original cd release. It might not be so strong as his 80s material, but it shure is (imo) an enjoyable album. In that respect a worthty final album. Glad he released it after HNR1, could not imagine that one as the last Prince album... Rest peacefully Prince

HNR2 is his best work since... I don't know, pick an album in the early-mid 90s.
HNR1 is what I expect from Prince: to deliver something unlike anything I've ever heard him do before. I love them both, equally.

I wanted them to be more lit than what he came up with, but there are a few good songs on both albums.

I know, but I was talking about new music. I always expected from him an album full of uncontestably great new material. We know he had it in him, there have been glimpses recently. But that will now not happen. I can't bear it..
