If one wanted to go to Paisley Park...

Where should one stay? And what else should one see?

I'm from the area and Holiday Inn is the closest. It's a straight shot away, down hwy 5. Airbnb is also a good option if you don't need a lot of frills. Minneapolis proper is a little farther north than Chanhassen. The trek out there is a little rough at night just because hwy 212 curves around a bit and there aren't many landmarks. Err on the side of places farther to the south, like Bloomington.

Another thing I'll note is that there's road construction going on in front of Audobon Road going into PP. When we went last weekend, it looked like we couldn't drive into it at all. We had to take a U-turn about a half mile up the road and it was fine. There were police officers on site that moved a tape line so we could leave. Given the circumstances, I don't see them entirely closing it off anytime soon.

This is the only kind of love
That I've been dreaming of
The kind of love that takes over your
Body, mind, and soul
Love to the nines

What about the Chanhassen Inn? Isn't that the closet and also, isn't that where Prince put people up when they came?

AmericINN is just down the road. It's not in the middle of nowhere. Very suburban. Plenty of strip malls in the area. Minneapolis is a 25-30 minute drive.
