I was in love with a Les Paul Epiphone gold and black guitar that was at Guitar Center. I heard Prince has a new black and gold guitar at his last dance party that he didn't play. We have a picture of his piano but no guitar, yet.

Does anyone have a picture of his guitar?

I posted a picture of him holding it up in the concert section, under the Paisley Park After Dark thread. You can make out the shape, but otherwise hard to see. I'm 90% sure that the guitar was purple with black trim and not gold.

From the pic I saw it looks like a G1 Purple Special Gus Guitar.

Yes, I would say that is the guitar, more so the pics that you click to make larger. He brought the case out as well and it looked just like that. I was thinking the edging was black when I saw it, but even looking at the pic of him holding it up, it looks gold.

Jon Bream described it as purple, not black and gold.

I wish he´d go back to playing his trademark guitars....I miss the Hohner and the old Cloud guitars. It´s weird that he seems to embrace his legacy, his old bandmates, his back catalog and just being Prince these days, but for some strange reason he´s been playing some very normal looking guitars in the last couple of years.

Prince is one of those few guitar players who has not just one but several highly personal guitars (the Cloud, the Hohner, the Model C) , yet he keeps playing all those average looking Vox guitars.

The scale length on the neck seems to be pretty long. But I can definitely see him playing one of those onstage...the guitar site said the guitar is a "tribute to one of rock's most flamboyant stars" or something like that. Very unique guitar.
