Not to mention the fact that Mr. Nelson is tweeting a lot today with no mentions of anything negative.
If something were wrong why wouldn't the man who puts a tear on his Twitter avatar when he has the flu not give us any signs about something more serious?

Someone could be tweeting for him, but it its Pnuemonia...Tweeting like everything is OK won't help--after a week..

He needs to postpone the rest of the tour for a month or 2.

I had Pneumonia a couple times in my life... One can recover for a few days..and feel like you are back, then the sun goes down, and you feel like crap--until you feel that way all day long, and your lungs fill with fluid, and ruin your heart.

Postpone the tour, Mr. Nelson!

Just heard this from my Dad Glad to know hes doing better. Feel better Prince.

There is no common cure 4 the flu/cold. Rest is healing and hope u have a speedy recovery.

Also as Prince gets older, whatever medical history his family has may start to affect him as well. Genetics can make a major difference in a persons health.

Prince appears to have always taken care of himself but he does look somewhat frail.

A frail appearance doesn't mean he's unhealthy though. As long as he's getting enough nutrients.

Same. I hope you are reading. Besides th music, have always respected Prince for his privacy. He does not engage in cheap tactics for publicity. I was really worrying about him. It's not that cause he was ill. But he had a tear in his eye.

This is not something he would due just cause he cancelled the show.

Honestly, I am kinda trying to imagine what's gonna happen...

I just saw him last night and this is scary. At the end of the show, when he walked off, he did seem a little unsteady, or at least I thought that at the time but just figured he was tired from the show.

Me too. People, particularly guys like to hop up as soon as the feel a little better but he needs to rest and recuperate for a few weeks even if he feels okay. I hope somebody is looking after him and he's not home alone so they can sit on him if he tries to move and make him go to the doctor if he needs to.

Prince I wish you a speedy recovery. Get the rest you need to be back a full strength. I like many others on this site enjoy listening to your music and attending your shows.

I was also shocked to just read the news and could not imagine a world with the musican Prince it in.

Why would anyones health deteriorate within 1-2 hours just shortly after the concert? He must have been feeling very sick during the concert. If not, why such an outbreak to do an emergency landing? I am confused.

I figure he was still sick and just pumped himself full of some stimulants and Vitamin E and whatever else his doctor gives him for the show and he overdid it and then came crashing down afterwards. Hopefully this is all it is and he's ok but getting a bit scared now.

I thought he looked tired at the end of the 2nd set when he walked off-stage. But Prince, wanting to ensure he gave the best show, put his all into it, even at the end. He put a lot into both sets last night, but especially that 2nd set.

Just like I said recently in the other sticked Rescheduled thread, at his age Prince having the flu is an very, very serious matter. Hopes and prayers goes out to Prince tonight.

Prince needs to rest for real. The world don't need to lose him, like we lost Michael Jackson.

Prince was still recovering from the flu. The flu takes a lot out of you, especially as we age. But, he, being Prince, wanted to make sure he gave the fans the best show possible. The man was incredible last night, he played and sang his heart out, putting out so much energy that the entire theatre was filled with it. Putting out that kind of energy can take a lot out of a person. I can't imagine that it is easy to perform 2 shows, no breaks really, with that kind of energy and dynamics. Of course, if he wasn't fully recovered from the flu, it's possible to have a relapse if you push yourself too hard, too soon.

Trust that he is getting the best medical care. I'm sure he has some great doctors that work with him. He just needs to rest and allow himself to fully recuperate before trying to put out that kind of energy again. And the fans need to chill! Allow him time to recuperate before begging for more concerts. "Funk is space", and maybe we ought to give him some space without demanding something from him.

There's a really nasty strain of flu virus going round (I'm not still quite over it) which makes you feel very dizzy, particularly when you stand up and walk around. It sounds as though he may have it and I totally understand how it's knocked him for six if that's the case. Just glad it's nothing more serious. Kind of hoping that Prince will be around at least until he's 100...
