1 complaint about dirty mind the songs r 2 damn short!!! the longest one is uptown 5:32...theres nothing like a long prince jam that goes on and on for up 2 nine or ten minutes Positivity YES

The album is perfect as it is IMO - It's rare for someone like Prince not to pontificate on songs, and DM sees him pontificating the least of probably any of his records.
Gotta Stop Messin' About would have been nice on there somewhere though. --------------------

Handsclapsfingasnapz, when I say it's not an experimental album , I would like 2 say that's it's not a jazz or a concept album 4 example , so the songs r short cause there's a punk feeling on this album.

It's by design that it's that compact. It has a Ramones punkishness about it in that aspect. NO, for anyone who may have a knee jerk reaction I'm not saying the album sounds like the Ramones. But "Sister" does remind me of the Ramones, who played very short, very fast punk songs. Many of which lasted less than 3 minutes. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes. | |
