Joy In Repetition and Little Red Corvette/Dirty Mind gone...

Well he snuck around and took JIR and LRC/DM off of the EP/singles section on Tidal. Hope y'all offlined 'em, cuz they gone. Maybe he will soon put an album of them up or a whole single show. I hope so, that would be very cool...but who knows what he'll do.

I made sure to buy downloads of those 2 performances. You never know, when artists will do something just like this.

At least, I've got my copies of it permanently, just in case P decides to never release them again.

Free Urself and If Eye Could Get Your Attention are gone as well!

They are also gone from My Purchases. That's just some sort of robbery.

Again proof that you have no control over your music library with streaming services.

Free Urself is now an iTunes exclusive wink

I bought them so they are safely on my devices. I never saw the free yourself and if I could your attention. Tidal not as easy as ITunes for purchases but at least you can listen to an entire so g in the comfort of your home whereas in the old days you had to hang around in Fame or Virgin records waiting your turn to listen to a cd.

Never understand why anyone leaves anything to the chance of streaming services...

If you want to keep something, keep it... buy it, rip it, whatever, to get it saved on YOUR hard drive...

Never let your music collection be exposed to the whims of artists or corporate contracts....

I knew this would happen since Prince changes his mind all the time, that's why I didn't subscribe to Tidal smile

We all knew this would happen... I'm just surprised that it didn't happen sooner.
Oh well. At this point, I just hope Phase 3 somehow gets a release.

i hope this is a sign of a possible Phase 3 release and a Piano & Microphone release.

but i guess he'll wait with the P&M release until he's done touring. if at all.

Just curious, when you bought the songs, what type of format were the files? MP3, FLAC, etc.?

Are you able to burn the files to CD?

MP3 or FLAC, and yes you can burn them to cd or upload to for example iTunes/Apple Music/Google play.

Phase 2 was never a seperate album at Tidal. You have to stream/buy both Phases together (even if you already bought Ph1 earlier). It is just Phase 2 on iTunes.

Currently I have Free Urself playing on Tidal. It was still open in my playlist.

I can't however share it anymore. The link is dead. Can't find the song, but it still plays.

And If I go to favourites, it is disabled and it says "The Record Label does not permit streaming of this track".

Did you download that playlist for offline listening? I had the same thing with the first version of Ruffnuff, instrumental version was still playing in a playlist after it was replaced by the 'vocal' version. Can't check it now because my subscription ended.

I just bought If Eye Could Get Ur Attention last week and downloaded both the FLAC and MP3 copies. I had a feeling that this would happen. I wonder how long for the NPGMC albums.

If you purchased them, don't you still have them? If you downloaded the mp3 or FLAC file from the download store after purchase they didn't disappear. How is that robbery?

That's why I said "some sort of". Yes I downloaded them and still have them. No problem.

But after purchase you had the chance to download them a couple of times (3x?), I guess in case you lost them. They kind of stored it for you, and now that's gone.

I did the same thing, except flipped around. Got Joy, missed DM/LRC.

And after arguing in other threads that it would be stupid not to download while they were available because, well, one day they'd just disappear.

I ought to listen to my own advice.

I'd imagine Free Urself will be on whatever the next album is. Seems like he's fond of that one, especially from some of the P&M reviews I've read.

As for If Eye Could Get Ur Attention -- that one might've been a rarity that some people will regret missing out on.

Is this even legal? so you paid for them?? and now they're gone? and unaccessible?

I bought Joy and LRC/Dirty Mind and downloaded. Does tidal not normally offer downloading then? I refuse to pay a monthly fee to stream music, so haven't used it.
