Dont get me wrong I'm not complaining as I own a lot of items that have been shared or found in hidden cd shops across the USA.....but I always wonder how do these get out? I mean the mere fact that I was at 1st Paisley Piano & Microphone show and low and behold the soundboards cds are out. That would mean someone at PP must have relased? Just curious as to anyone's thoughts about how this happens.

Friends, band members, girlfriends, careless employees, bribed soundmen, people with recording devices in their pockets.

You will always find someone claiming Prince is doing it himself, because prince doesn't care about people making money off his work right?

I didn't realise soundboards of the Paisley Park piano shows were out though!

Most early soundboards (80's) have been leaked to the collector's market by Prince associates who gave or sold their copies to hardcore fans, same as with most outtakes.

Most later soundboards and some of the early ones as well have been secretly recorded by the engineer or someone from the venue, straight from the soundboard, then again given or sold to some hardcore fans.

I have all the shows, some are clearly not great qulity while others sound really good. I'm not complaining, I was ore asking aout items such as The Works, 21 nites, or or live concerts which sound good, Wondering if Prince atucally lets these out for fans to enjoy as long as no money is exchanged? Who knows.
