I totally agree. I'm not a fan to trash everything he does at all... But it's just a real downer when everyone says PHASE TWO is his best album since the 90's etc... There is no energy on this album at all..

Hell as bad as PHASE 1 was... at least Hardrocklover and 1000's X's & O's containted more energy than the whole of PHASE 2.

When a Prince album lacks energy, and becomes bland, with those stale horns... It is not a true PRINCE ALBUM.

Meh... Jealous of what? Like seriously? I'm not feelng the vibe of Phase II, or anything else he has released in a long time. It's a bad direction, and it's embarrassing that he's down to leaning on Jay and Beyonce to monetize a really bad album. And yes it's better than a lot of his bad albums but it's still crap. How about he goes back to playing the character he was playing in the 80's? This version of Prince is an absolute embarrassment.

His best CD since 3121 ten years ago. I was waiting to buy the CD until I would be able to walk in the store and buy it. I also bought phase one out of support but I didn't really like that CD. So i'm happy to be able to walk into the store and buy this great album which will get a lot of spins in my car.
