Paisley Park is about 1,200 miles away from
Washington DC. Are you prepared for that?

Paisley is fenced and gated, so unless there's some kind of event going on, there's no entry. I was in Minnetonka for business last year and had enough time to drive over and take some selfies. It was a dream come true, just to be there and see it. Wish I could have gone in, though.

If you go there, and drive nearby please play Paisley Park such a beautiful song.

The only advice I'd give is plan your stay in Mpls around the time he's in town, especially a weekend stay. He MIGHT have a dance party or show, no guarantees at all.

If you've been a fan for about 30 years you could check out First Avenue for a show to get a feel for it (Purple Rain etc). I live in the Twin Cities so occasionally I check out local bands like Chase and the Ovation - a great tribute band - or "The Combo" at Bunker's (some members of the band are ex NPG)

Good luck!!

I've been over from the UK a few times, and to be honest, unless there is an event, its not worth the trip for Prince sites alone. For starters, unless you are flying in, don't bother to drive, even from Niagra. Its too far.

When you get there, and find PP, you can get a nice pic from outside the gates, but thats about it. Same for First Avenue. Of course there is no more Glam Slam either.

That said, if you just want to make a weekend of it, its a great city.

Second this suggestion. Dr. Mambo's Combo plays at Bunker's on Sunday and Monday nights. You will definitely see some Paisley alumni at that.
