Forget "Parade"... "SIGN 'O' THE TIMES" is 29 years old today!

Arguably Prince's most eclectic officially released masterpiece, "Sign 'O' The Times" was released on this date in 1987 in the US. And later that summer, a friend who was a Purple Maniac sat me down and made me listen - really LISTEN - and I was hooked.

.

I'll be listening to album and all the B-sides and remixes as I work today. An incredible achievement.

Never forget PARADE...

PARADE and SIGN O' THE TIMES are im my opinion the penncale of Prince's creative peak of the 80's.

Actually, that was yesterday wink

Release in the UK was March 30

But yes, also one of his best, if not the best.

Adorecream

And don't worry we are going make a huge deal of this next year. Just being a sign o the time, we got mess with yo mind.

.

Besides, does Parade not deserve its own moment in the sun. Just to go back 30 years and live the whole year between the release of Parade and Sign, to experience the songs, the movie, then that tour and finally read and hear gossip of what Prince is up to with Camille/Crystal Ball and Dream Factory, and of course being rewarded with the masterpiece of SOTT.

.

If we had todays technology back then, we could lobby WB at causes to release Crystal Ball as a 3 album set and Camille, and then plead to Prince via Twitter and Facebook not to break up the revolution, but let Wendy drink all the boose she wants and get over the fact they are lesbian.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
