Here's my question: what's that one track (or two) that you're ashamed to say as a major fan that you really don't like as much as everyone else seems to?

For me it's "If I was your girlfriend". I'm sure it's brilliant, but I just can't jam to it, and it doesn't turn me on at all. Cool concept, though, of course.

I hate the 12" version of "I wish U heaven". A bunch of silly nonsense that does nothing to enhance the beautiful album track.

I also hate the 12" version of "America". Just too dang long.

Not a big fan of "She's always in my hair". It's not horrible but I don't find it as good as most do.

On the other hand I LOVE "The arms of Orion" and "Free" which seem to get a lot of hate here LOL!

Cream. And it seems to be played everywhere. I don't hate it, but I can't get myself to like it. Leaves me empty.

My guilty confession is that whilst I know Parade gets ernomous love and I know these are great songs I have just never fully appreciated Do U Lie/New Position/I Wonder U. Parade is one of most fans favourite albums and whilst Prince wasn''t initially a huge fan of it I think he loves it more now. I don't dislike them but I always feel that everyone else is getting more out of Parade than I am. It's my fault, maybe alot more listens will bring it intno sharper focus for me.

Kiss and Anotherlover almost seem incongruous for the album (Both great tracks).

I love the long intro to YGTL but always felt it did not fit SOTT. Glam Slam is cheesey to me and takes away from Lovesexy which would be perfect without it IMO.

WOW these are exactly my thoughts too! Only, add Girls and Boys too. I don't get it. I never saw Parade as being so deserving of the praise it gets, especially with the tracks you mention...and thats half the album... I feel so awful now

a) Tick Tick Bang

A musical disgrace. Even the 1982 outtake is one of the worst of the era.

b) My Name Is Prince
Unbearable. Lyrics-wise something to shame about, musically a chaos fest in the name of mainstream.

These are the obvious two. But if I think well, probably there are others.

Completely the opposite for Parade - my favourite tracks on the album are "Do U Lie/New Position/Wonder U"... They are so different musically and "Do U Lie" is just simply playful.

"Kiss" is great but I've heard it so many times I kinda drift in and out of it...

Everyone loves that song but hates Planet earth as an album, I am the opposite, I love Planet Earth, but remove that song and Resolution, you have a much better album. The horrible shouting lady (Shelby?) - Go ahead Chelsea! Lord stop with that mess, its giving me a migraine.

Jam of the Year and Million $ show are other tracks we can remove the shouty female. I also notice a lot of people like Like a Mack and I think its dreadful, especially Curly Fries or whatever that mess is. Yes its funky, but it takes more than a funky beat to make a song.

Never liked also the 1982 version, sorry.

I still think it is a sub-standard creation compared with the other tracks (released and unreleased) from that era, I never understood why it receives all this appreciation.

Anyway, as usual, just matter of personal taste.

No way! What don't you like about 17 Days? It's one of my favorite songs by anyone, ever! I don't like the song D.M.S.R. for some reason. I don't hate it, it's a song I don't get, yet.

I'm with tongueinthecrease here exactly. D.M.S.R. is completely mwah for me but 17 days..... is just gorgeous.... rainy day song. Simple yes but super nonetheless.

I don´t get why Cream became such a huge hit. It does absolutely nothing for me and sounds too derivative of that T-Rex/Marc Bolan song.

I don´t like Batdance. And it took me almost a decade until I liked the Batman album a little bit.

I´m also not a big fan of Delirious. Sounds too much like a Rockabilly or Elvis Presley song to me....which was probably the point when he wrote it....but that does not mean that I have to like it. He could have put Moonbeam Levels on that album instead.

On the other hand, I am one of the few orgers who loves Strays of the World....it should have been the closing song on the Come album like it was planned to be. Would´ve been a perfect ending and would´ve made the whole Come concept more complete, especially with the "Come!" at the end of the song.
