I've had dreams of walking into a hole-in-the-wall record shop and find wall-to-wall boots and not even know where to start looking/listening.

Literal dreams? Because I've had dreams a few different times where I discover record shops with mysterious official releases that are nowhere listed but are real, often on (God only knows why) 3-inch CD singles. Strange, very limited releases--sometimes just alternate mixes or a cluster of b-sides, but usually completely unique songs, including the main "A-Side" track. I'll walk out with 10 or 12 discs, for a dollar or two each.

They're generally pretty good, too. At least the ones I get to listen to before the alarm goes off.

Yeah - at night, deep sleep dreams. When the alarms goes off, I'm like "Awww, maaaan!"

"I like to watch."

The 1:31 version that is circulating is underwhelming and kind of depressing. Talks about comptemplating suicide.

Just found the full version of "every1 wants what they don't got". Very Beatles sounding. Don't think its too widely circulating? Oh the irony of that song title BTW!!

Is it the version that's a little over 2 minutes long? If so, that's widely circulating.

No it's the 4.13 version with the added orchetsration / cello solos at 3mins 17 secs..really takes it to a different level i think.

persoanlly I prefer the rarer live stuff. One real stand out [widely circulated by now surely] was THAT insane version of Controversey from a few years ago at the N.Sea jazz fest [i think?], totally slowed down, aggressive & frankly nasty bad assed as you will ever hear it. truly stunning.

If you think about the dark subjects Prince explored/wanted to explore

and the character Jill Jones played, I think I can see him romanticizing it as it

(didn't he want the Father to die in PR, and his vision of the Kid committing suicide, there is an alternate ending for Under the Cherry Moon where Christopher doesn't get killed, but Prince loved the ideal of dying 4 love and sang about it enough, and the 'hangman' deleted scene from Graffiti Bridge where he commits suicide) I need to scan though some songs from 1982-1984 to see if there is reference to suicide.

has been in a lot of classical novel and Renaissance writings when it comes to love or unrequited love as Jill constantly experienced...
I can be underwhelmed or overwhelmed on just that 1:31min piece, BUT to hear a comleted piece wouild most likely make me do backflips

I think of Others Here With Us, Old Friends 4 Sale, Cold Coffee & Coccaine

there is out a great amount of new leaked material that really deserve a proper CD release (like the D&P work in progress tracks, to say).

I hope inside there will be also the full lenght version of P's "The Dopamine Rush Suite".

Now that would be a gem.

Shouldnt this entire thread be nuked? It's all about unreleased tracks that only a few people have. It suddenly becomes unacceptable when the tracks are supposed to come out on some forthcoming bootleg collection?
