Thieves in the Temple samples Tone Loc - Wild Thing

I just listened to the remix of Thieves in the Temple and I just recocnised a sample from Tone Loc - Wild Thing that seems to have been one of the building blocks for the Thieves in the Temple beat.

It's very recognisable as he fades away a lot of the other instruments right at the end, from 7:54 - 7:57 and it's just speeded up a little.

I was surprised to see that there isn't any other mention of this that I can find! Is this new info?

isn't "Wild Thang" based on a sample of "Jamie's Cryin'" by Van Halen?

therefore, i see no connection at all.

The Extended Remix of TITT has a sample of "Tamborine", though.

also, according to Princevault.com:

"...The harmonica is sampled from I Can't Stand It by The Chambers Brothers ..."
