Of course, most of the Piano gigs have been bootlegged and there's a box set coming of the Australian concerts, so "giving" us one single track is rather pathetic.

And sheesh, €1.30 for one live track? Pretentious much? How about giving us WHOLE CONCERTS for €10?

Strange move indeed, no streaming but don't mind paying for it. It's great. Probaly regret it when he releases an album where I have to pay again for this track and whatever comes next (on twitter he asked 'got an hour or so available?'

By the way, I cancelled Tidal already twice and they always come back with a nice offer for renewal.

Latest offer was pay 1 month and have 3 extra for free.

€3 for a single FLAC file? Get fucked.

It is interesting and pretty difficult making any money with downloads, although of course there is little cost to producing it.

I actualy think Bart's point previously about adding value by creating a physical product has merit. For example Ingrid Chavez recently created a journal with a USB full of music, artwork, photography, handwritten lyrics etc. Deluxe physical editions may only appeal to hardcore fans but there would be certainly a decent demand for these. Even if Prince does not want to revist previous albums, a Piano and Microphone deluxe etc with a load of extras would be sought after.

Not everyone likes tracking bootlegs constantly, so this will do as a pri(n)cey and legal, artist supportive) way of experiencing what is by most accounts a terrific display of musicianship.

I really like this tour concept so far, I think it´s a great idea with a great setlist that pleases the casual and the hardcore fans.

A live album of this tour could be a commercial success but I think the concerts should be released as is, without chopping them up like the ONA Live box set. Otherwise it would ruin the flow and the storytelling element of it. Add a nice booklet, some nice pictures and a good distribution deal and this could be a hit, more or less. At least with the hardcore and casual fans.

This tour is one of his best ideas in years. 3rd EyeGirl were ok for the time being but this is much more interesting soundwise and creatively.

But one single track on Tidal? For 1.30 $ ?

Not that I´m stingy but I am not into all this Tidal and streaming and download stuff.

Give me a proper physical CD with a decent booklet and I´m happy.
