Thirty One Twenty One

I was watching a TV performance on Youtube from the 3121 era and for the first time the numbers 3121 on the back of his shirt/jacket kind of freaked me out. 3+1 = 4 so 4 21 is how I see it now.

According to some one on here: http://prince.org/msg/7/367965 it was Jimi Hendrix’s first address from birth to age 5. I also know he referred to the rented mansion in L.A. as 3121 even though the address was 1235 Sierra Alta Way.

Also 3121 was Prince's 31st release and the release date was the 21st.

Any thoughts on any of this? Does anyone else think it's weird that he decided the address of the mansion should be 3121 instead of the actual address of the place? Now every time I see the numbers 3121 on his clothes it feels like he's wearing an expiration date. sad

He just gave the mansion a 'name', in the same way he gave that name to London's Indiego2 nightclub. It wasn't even his current album by then.

But... although I've read some ridiculous stuff on here this last few weeks - the best being a dying Prince chose the elevator to die in as a last message to fans - Prince DID like to play games with dates. His 21 nights in London didn't start on the 1st and finish on the 21st co-incidentally. That was all planned out.

And I'm sure 3121 was a reference to it being his 31st album.

You can have all sorts of fun deriving mathematical coincidences with 3121! My favourite is the International Tuning Standard of A4 = 440Hz. This is MIDI note number 69. In the 13-moon calendar a month is 28 days, or 2419200 seconds (a frequency of 1/2419200Hz). When this is transposed up 30 octaves to approximate the note A4 you get 443.841693121693121693121Hz

The 693121 is infinitely recurring!

Back when Prince came up with this, he was heavy into the mayan calendar end date, which was supposed to be the end of time as we know it and the starting of a new age, whether he believed that or not, who knows, but that is what the song and numbers are in reference to. 12/21/12 was the end of the Mayan calendar.

12/21/12 - 3121 is his representation of that, and also supported by the lyrics.

3121

3= a date

From 121 you get 12 21 12

ah but remember it wasn't the end of the Mayan calendar, it was the beginning of the 13th Baktun, which is a count of 144,000 days (thanks wikipedia), which is mathematically related to 12 in that 120 x 1200 = 144,000, so the end of the 13th baktun would have been a count of 12 x 120 x 1200 days!

So essentially a new year celebration. On the 31st of rebmeced.

On the whole International A thing - the 13 moon calendar is some esoteric mathematical jive from the late eighties - if we're dealing purely with numbers and the doubling of fundamental frequencies we could just as easily take 7 days in seconds as the wavelength and arrive at the same number 443.841693121. But 28 days seems the correct period. Get Funky
