According to my boss, Prince once answered the question “why do you go off by yourself for hours, and make self-involved music that doesn’t even include other musicians?” by saying “if you could do what I do, believe me, you would too.”

I can't find the citation for this anywhere. Do any of you amazing fans remember this interview/conversation? I would love to give a proper citiation for the writing my boss is in the middle of working on.
