Yeah, noticed there was one. The standard edition will do for now.

There are actually TWO "standard editions", both having enjoyed the deluxe treatment in 2011, the original 83 release and the 84 rerelease: https://en.wikipedia.org/...ck_listing

Cheers. I seem to have the original, not sure if I will seek out the deluxe, but I'm enjoying it nonetheless.

interestingly,The Pointer Sisters planned to release the song "Jump" as a single in early 1984,but they had to alter the title. The reason? Van Halen had a hit song with that title,at around the same time smile the Pointer Sisters song was re-titled "Jump (For My Love)".

Where can I find a Prince piece where he plays as clean and loud chicken grease as on the few bars in Automatic by the Pointer Sisters? It sounds like they hired him just for those few notes. It reminds me of a specific song he's played similar notes.

0.52 seconds into the song.

Edit. Ok, Dead On It sounds kinda similar. More?

Can't be a copyright reason though cuz u can't copyright a title. More like avoiding confusion nod

The pompous immaturity on this board has reached a critical mass. “Is something wrong with them?”

No.

They have every right to express their views, positive or negative, about an artist whose music they enjoy in a respectful manner. What blows my mind is how some orgers appear to be taking certain views personally and are actually taking sides.

But those views are not always respectful and some comments are absurd. Automatic came off of 1999 which is head and shoulders above anything the Pointer Sisters every did and I love the Pointer sisters. Just plain stupid stuff.
