Can you see Prince's age?

I've yet to see him in concert, but I read the tweet about him getting on top of the piano recently and I thought "he can still do that?" Does he move like an old dude and if you see him in person, does he look his age?

Wow, ignorance rules. confused The man is in his 50s not his 80s. There's no reason why a 50 year old can't climb on a piano unless he or she is disabled. disbelief

No, but you will be. If you're lucky.

haha this post made me lol. anyway, I'm 50, and as long as you take care of yourself, 50 is no issue. I have a few pains every nw and then that i didn't have a few years ago, but everything else is as it was. For instance, when going to work, there is a huge flight of stairs next to an escalator that takes literally 2 minutes to get you to the top. I run the stairs in a matter of seconds. People half my age can't do that, and look tired after just getting off the excalator. I still put it down playing basketball. Can i bring down the rim like I used to? No, but I can still slam, no issue.

I don't know, maybe 51 will be a ho-bitch. but right now, the only thing that reminds me of being older is when I drink in excess. Your body simply cannot metabolize alcohol the way it does in your 20s and 30s. Hangovers last for a while now, so if I imbibe the day before I have to work, work suffers.

FUNKYNESS

I have seen Prince live since the Controversy Tour in the early 8-s. While he is amazingly well preserved, he has aged just like any other human. He stopped doing splits at least a decade ago if not earlier. He has jumped off any pianos in about the same amount of time.

A good point here is..... People in the 50's nowadays aren't what they used to be, say.... 30-40 years ago.

When I was a teenager, people in their 50's used to be known as grandparents.

Nowadays, people have kids much later in their years. Still play sports and excersise. And they look younger too.
Back then, everyone smoked. And never cared for eating properly nor keeping active.

Time's have changed, but some still presume that someone Ps age shouldnt be jumping on and off pianos.

wink

Great reply Callimnate. Also consider this: people used to not wear sunscreen and thought tanning was a good idea, nutritional facts were not prominent on food packages untill the 80's (late I believe), and fitness is in a whole demension now.

When you see him in concert he looks his age. He looks like the most healthy person you've ever seen at that age, but that age nonetheless. He actually looks a lot better than in his airbrushed to hell publicity photos imho
