It's one ofthe very first songs i heard and loved from him back in 2007/8

I don't know from what or whose perspective he might have been writing from when he wrote this modern classic ballad, but I like to imagine that, like many artists, he's taps into his own personal life experiences to bring forth something real and accessible that he can shape into a new musical creation.

And just because someone has wealth and even women doesn't necessarily mean they have found a soulmate. Just as a person who lacks wealth and fame is still capable of finding the love of a lifetime. P. may enjoy the finer things in life, but he's still at the end of the day a multifacted human being with strengths and vulnerabilities like all the rest of us have. All the money in the world may not be able to buy off unrequited love. (But if he did write this song from personal experience, I certainly hope that phase of life is safely in his past and he has a significant other in his life now. Maybe that classy dame Tamra Hall.)

This song chokes me up at the end almost every time . Seriously cathartic. I try to resist its power, but to no avail....
