Obviously, I'm not making a request. But I am curious as to whether there are any recordings of the two most recent concerts (Piano & Mic) circulating? From what I understand, there aren't a lot of recordings from Paisley Park in the last few years, which is why I ask.

I'm hoping that P is secretly recording these shows. I wouldn't be surprised since they're being held at Paisely Park. Fingers crossed for some releases

You mean like all the other official live releases we've had over the years?

I've heard rumors of someone recording them but there's no timeframe for release yet.

of course HE recorded them...for himself.....if anyone else did itll take a while to get them out

He did record them - when people went on the studio tours last Friday and Saturday, someone was mixing the audio notionally for release.

I personally heard them mixing Purple Rain from the 2nd show.

When asked if they'd come out, his assistant indicated that it was "something they were looking at".

Haveonly heard 2 tracks so far, but I'm not keen on the string pad that's mixed in with the piano. Prince, you don't need it. Just play the piano. And make sure you play the right chords too

Man ... truly disappointing to hear that the strings are part of the "piano" ... why not a two hour real piano a la "Dortmund '88 piano segment"

The strings take away the pureness of the "piano"

I thought that kind of thing died out in the late 80s. It's just not needed, and doesn't fill out the sound - it just sounds cheesy. Hopefully someone will have a word with him about this, like Tony M.
