Very cool! I'm in the middle of making an animation kind of like this (not about music biz stars but more like a School House Rock video).

That was his idea of humour. Prince is Nemo.

Thanks for sharing. Hilarious. Maybe Prince wanted more of a get crunk, I'm about to get in your a@$ vibe while playing pool. Questlove was playing "for lover's only" or "jazz on a rainy day" music. You can't demolish the opposition (the way you want) listening to that music Quest was spinning!

Fela Kuti is neither of those things though. I can imagine Zombie being a really cool soundtrack to a game of pool, but who knows why Prince did what he did, he's a weird guy, as I'm sure we're all aware. Anyway cool story, liked it a lot

I think Patti LaBelle made a mention of Prince's billiard skills on Arsenio back in the early 90s...

I think that video gives some real insight in how so many things around Prince seem haphazard, last minute and poorly planned... it's because they are! I think Prince only does that ish though to people he figures will put up with it. Makes him feel important. He ain't that type of crazy. If he were, you'd hear stories about him more frequently acting crazy while doing normal people things. In like, a Dunkin Donuts demanding Big Macs and a wheelbarrow and whatnot.

That's so funny. What a great animation. Questlove knows how to tell a story. I love the part when Prince is "speedin' 40 mph around the stadium... on this golfcart" and "he's whippin' this cart like it's golfin' furious."

His story about Patti LaBelle is equally hilarious. Love it.

No it doesnt....Musicology tour was managed and maximized Prince's earning potential beautifully..From interviews etc...He asked for a place to chill after the show, a lot of times, those are last minute things

Well... I tell you what else it says. For FAMS... you guys decide to late-pay your bills and run out to see Prince because he likes to announce shit at the last minute... just remember how Questlove, azz-kisser-to-all-things-80's-but-especially-Prince, was able to arrange 10 front row seats for his crew, plus a meet and greet with Prince before the show and a seat onstage for himself... ALL FOR FREE.. while yo azz was ridin' nose-bleed and taking out paday loans and you probably couldn't see shit! Also, you guys are all pretty talented... make your own Prince cartoon, and post a link to it and let's see how long before the Pasiley Police decide to shut your copyright infringing azz down son.

I guess the point of this story for Questlove was to tell the world that he discovered Fela before Prince did. Prince only caught up later. Because Quest is so cool.

No not really but i'd well believe that Questlove listens to a hell of a lot more of other people's music than Prince does.
